Welcome to Sawston And Babraham Cricket Club

We believe in cricket for the community- our ethos stems for openness and inclusivity, and we pride ourselves on giving opportunity to all. Sawston and Babraham is an amalgamation of two of the most historic clubs in the Cambridge area- and is always looking for new members. Whatever ability, young or old.

Weekend cricket

Next season, 2018, the Club will be running 4 Saturday sides-

1 XI in  Cambs and Hunts Premier Division 1, with

2nd,3rd and 4th XI in  CCA Junior 1, 4 and 5 respectively

A Wednesday t20 side in the Adams Harrison midweek division 2

We will also have friendly fixtures on Sundays throughout the season.

We will be holding winter nets starting in January at Sawston Village College.

Juniors

The club has an active junior section and will be running teams from under 11 through to under 15. We are always looking for new junior players, so if you have a son or daughter that may be interested, or fancy playing yourself come along to our junior training sessions. Winter nets and coaching will be held during the winter. Please contact us for further details.

This season we took part in the ECB's All Stars Cricket Programme, which gave a fun introduction to cricket for 5 to 8 year olds.

Socials

Along with the cricket the club has a burgeoning social events programme that includes golf days, race nights, poker and much more. For a full list of planned events please visit the community tab at the top of the page.

We are a not for profit organisation that puts all profits back into the club.

Latest News

The Club had a successful, season last year with the pinnacle being our 1st XI winning the Cambs and Hunts Premier 2 title on the last day of the season.

We are looking to build on that success throughout the Club and we have already made a number of key signings. We are of course still looking for more talent, at all levels but we are already looking forward to an exciting 2018.

Our AGM is on Sunday 10th December 2017 at Spicers Sports Pavilion starting at 6.30pm. Please come along and join us.
